Through generous funding from the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor, ME, we are proud to offer FULL & PARTIAL camp scholarships to campers on a need basis.
Challenger will be able to offer full and partial scholarships for summer camp 2025 programs, entering grades 2-8. The in-person Challenger camps will take place at the Challenger Center in Bangor.

Requirements for the students that receive a scholarship:

-Students will be required to mail in physical thank you notes. Thank you notes should highlight their camp experiences. Thank you notes should be postmarked within 7 days of the end of their camp week.

-There are limited camp spots available and cancellations are discouraged. If you have to cancel your camp week reservations, cancellations must be made 2 weeks prior to the first day of camp.

-Camp attendance is required. There are limited camp spots and attendance is needed for each day of camp. We are expecting a waitlist, and by not attending you are taking away your own experience and that of another potential camper’s too. Also, if you do not attend (without a valid excuse)- you will not be eligible for future camp scholarships to Challenger.

-Families of recipients of this scholarship are strongly encouraged to visit the Cole Land Transportation Museum located at 405 Perry Rd, Bangor, ME 04401 by Nov 11, 2025. This museum is free for students/children. Visit www.colemuseum.org for details on how to visit.

Prior to filling out the scholarship application, please review the summer camps available here.
Please fill out the scholarship application individually for each child.

Once your application is completed, a Challenger Learning Center staff member will reach out to you via email (allow 1-3 days to respond, M-F). If you have any questions in the meantime please email [email protected].
